The ACLS Course is designed to give the Healthcare Provider the basic knowledge to care for the patient in cardiac arrest and to manage acute coronary syndromes and stroke. This is a two-day initial course that covers the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support curriculum. A few housekeeping items: PLEASE READ and follow the directions carefully. Go to the following website address: https://elearning.heart.org/course/423 You will be directed to the E-learning website for the AHA. 1.) ACLS Self-Assessment is required. The Pre-course Work (CME/CE Credits are offered for this Pre-course work) is optional. Once you have finished you will need to print the completion certificate. Or take a screen shot to show your instructor on the 1st day of class. *They will give you an email address to forward it to. 2.) This pre-course self-assessment must be finished prior to coming to the course. 3.) You will also need to get a copy of the most up to date version of the AHA Book. The versions were updated in Oct. 2025 by the AHA. These will be the materials you are tested on at the end of the course. Your manager should have a copy in their department. Or you can borrow one from Life Support Training before the date of the class.
