Description:
The PALS Two Day Initial Provider Course is for the Health Care Providers, Nurses and others to obtain their Pediatric Advanced Life Support status. The class concentrates on advanced knowledge to care for the pediatric patient in cardiac arrest and to manage conditions that may lead to arrest. This is a two-day initial course that covers the American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support curriculum. A few housekeeping items: PLEASE READ and follow the directions carefully. Go to the following website address: https://elearning.heart.org/course/427 You will be directed to the E-learning website for the AHA. 1.) PALS Self-Assessment is required. The Pre-course Work (CME/CE Credits are offered for this Pre-course work) is optional. Once you have finished you will need to print the completion certificate. Or take a screen shot to show your instructor on the 1st day of class. *They will give you an email address to forward it to. 2.) This pre-course self-assessment must be finished prior to coming to the course. 3.) You will also need to get a copy of the most up to date version of the AHA PALS Book. The versions were updated in Oct. 2025 by the AHA. These will be the materials you are tested on at the end of the course. Your manager should have a copy in their department. Or you can borrow one from Life Support Training before the date of the class.
