Description:
Have you attended ACLS renewal multiple times and are looking for a renewal that involves discussion and realistic cases. ACLS for Experienced Providers goes beyond the core ACLS training and can be taken by anyone that can hold an ACLS Card, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and paramedics. This program offers critical thinking opportunities for advanced and experienced healthcare professionals. The goal of ACLS EP is to improve outcomes in complex cardiovascular, respiratory, and other emergencies by expanding on core ACLS guidelines and encouraging critical thinking and decision-making strategies. Through cooperative learning and active participation learners enhance their skills in differential diagnosis and treatment cardiac arrest patients. This is a great opportunity for MET members, code team members, ICU Nursing, ER Nursing, intensivists, and physicians to renew their ACLS in a different setting.
At the start of the class, we will cover the material for your BLS Renewal and testing. Then we will discuss the newest ACLS updates and administer the AHA ACLS provider test. Therefore, it is important that you come prepared. The tests will be graded and discussed s needed.
After testing we will proceed with case study discussions and participate in Mega code scenarios in the simulation rooms.
Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email for the class, which will include the link for the Precourse self-assessment
