Description:
We would like to invite you to the 2026 Vandalia Health CAMC West Virginia Trauma Symposium to be held at the Stonewall Resort, Roanoke, WV. This conference is designed for trauma surgeons, general surgeons, emergency room physicians, nurses, pharmacists, mid- level providers prehospital health care providers, coding specialists, and health information professionals. Ultrasound Workshops for Nurses and providers will be presented as separate meetings on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. This conference will represent a collaborative effort between state and national experts in various trauma disciplines from around WV and the United States. The speakers will present progressive and challenging issues in the field of trauma care. Committee meetings will begin Friday afternoon February 6. 2026. The State Trauma Audit Review Presentations will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026. All conference attendees are invited to attend.
• At the conclusion of this program participants should be able to:
• Review current treatment for blunt cerebrovascular injury.
• Review and discuss Damage Control Resuscitation
• Discuss the current guidelines for vascular trauma in rural hospitals
• Review the impact and consequences of using social media in healthcare.
• Review CAB vs, ABC in trauma
• Review the use of Tranexamic Acid for trauma
• Discuss current management of non-accidental trauma cases in children.
• Review the role of Pre-Hospital blood in trauma
• Discuss decision making for the acutely burned patient
• Review current treatments in noninvasive ventilation
